Art Deco Historic District
The nation's largest 20th Century National Register Historic District. The area features more than 800 historic buildings erected during the 1920s and 1930s, and contains a variety of architectural styles. Walking tours of the district depart Saturday at 10:30 a.m. and Thursday at 6:30 p.m. from the MDPL Center, $15. Self-guided audio-tour available daily, $10 cassette rental. Bike, rollerblade, and private group tours are also available.

The Holocaust Memorial

A contemplative, sobering experience, nodding to the large number of Holocaust survivors who chose to make Miami Beach their home. Graphic and unflinching, a massive cast-bronze hand reaches for the sky, surrounded by black granite panels etched with the names of victims. $2 donation for brochure.
