Miami Gay Men’s Chorus Gives Tribute to America’s Armed Forces
Miami Beach, May 2, 2008 --- After five years of being in a major conflict half way around the world, it is impossible to ignore the contribution of American men and women risking their lives to serve our country. It is the Chorus’s intention to pay tribute to these brave men and women through song. They will perform music that addresses the Civil War, World War I and World War II in the first act of the program. The second act pays tribute to the military personnel of Vietnam, Desert Storm and the current conflict in Iraq.
More specifically, the concert will, in part, address the involvement of numerous men and women of the GLBT community that have fought in every war this country has ever engaged in. According to a recent article in Details Magazine, there are currently more than 65,000 gays and lesbians serving in the armed forces. They not only fight and serve with the fear of being killed or injured but with the fear of being "discovered." Tickets are on sale now for the June 13, 14, 15th performances. more |

It could compare to South Beach any day with prices and style. It’s also the biggest city in North Italy and the financial capitol of Italy. Milan is not only a city with a bank on every corner, there are plenty of museums and monuments of old to see and enjoy. more |
